Fairholme Plants

WHAT:
Established in 2005 Fairholme Plants is a wholesale nursery specialising in growing and selling herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and lavenders to garden centres, nurseries and the landscaping trade.

WHERE:
We are situated on top of a hill in the Elgin Valley about 70kms from Cape Town’s with a panoramic view of the Groenland mountains in the background and vineyards and apple orchards in the foreground.

WHO:
The nursery is owned and managed by Duncan and Liz Henderson, previous owners of a fruit farm and rose nursery in the Elgin Valley. It is their love of gardening that has inspired the nursery. On moving to Fairholme they completely overhauled the old garden with the help of their daughter Mary, a garden designer in Cape Town, creating a multi-faceted, terraced garden which displays many of the plants grown in the nursery.
